SEASON START UP

All off-ice tasks are the responsibility of the manager. The manager is to delegate tasks out to volunteers in order for the season to run smoothly. These are TEAM volunteer shifts, not SGMHA mandatory shift requirements. These shifts include (but are not limited to):

-Treasurer (preferably someone with experience or Excel experience)

-Jersey parents (1 or 2 families to separate colours)

-Fundraising committee

-Social coordinator

-Parent liaison (an outside-of-staff person to deal with any issues that cannot be handled by the manager/head coach)

-Timeclock/scorekeeper/music
Some people offer to do these shifts the whole season. Otherwise these shifts and penalty box volunteers are to be rotated by a schedule made by the manager. Do not include bench staff or yourself in the schedule. You are all exempt as your time commitment is large already.


BEFORE START OF SEASON

Prior to your first team meeting, please review the First Team Meeting form if needed as a reference.

Please be sure to forward to your parents the SGMHA Medical Form and  have them return to you at the first meeting or practice, whichever is sooner.  Also forward the Team Budget prior to the first meeting.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL AFFILIATIONS MUST BE THROUGH THE DIVISION DIRECTOR. The coach and/or manager is to do all affiliation requests through the division director.
