The Team Treasurer is one of the positions that makes up the 'Team Operations' on your minor hockey team.
While the Head Coach, Team Manager and Team Treasurer are ALL Responsible for the team finances, it is VERY important that one individual focuses on the specific team finances.
The Team Treasurer is responsible to collecting, banking and disbursement of team funds. The team Treasurer cannot be the spouse, direct relation, or a person residing int he same residence of the teams/ Head Coach or Manager.

The Team Treasurer role is an important one!
The Team Treasurer is responsible to collect and disburse, track and report the funds required for the team to enter tournaments, pay for dryland training or powerskating, facilitated team meals, gifts and celebrations. In addition, the treasurer is responsible that all fundraising follows not only SGMHA requirements but also AGLC (Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission).
