Registration Information for SGMHA Players

Infomation for the 2018-2109 season.

** Player's (the use of player refers to both players and goalies at all levels) must register in their designated age group.

**2018-2019 Evaluation/Tryout information can be found under the division's homepage and PAC team's homepage closer to the start of the first tryout date..

**Late Fees & Conditioning camp fees are non refundable. (Cancellation of a conditioning camp registration will only be done upon receipt of a doctor note, or if there is a waiting list for the camp).

**Returning Players must register by June 30 to avoid a late fee of $125 (player credits on file do not confirm registration, an actual registration through the online system or in person at the office must be completed to confirm a player registration).  Late fee does not apply to a brand new player registering for the current season with SGMHA.

**Registration is done on a first come basis (SGMHA limits the number of teams it runs so that it can provide the teams with a min 1 practice a week along with league ice requirements).  Registration division payments are due as follows:  1/3 at time of registration, 1/3 July 15, 1/3 Aug 15, Late Fee, Tryout Fees & Conditioning Camp fees are due at the time of registration).  For SGMHA players that make a AA or AAA team with SGMHA/PAC, there will be an additional Rep Fee payment which will be due in three installments as follows: 1/3 at time of registration to the team, 1/3 Oct 25, 1/3 Nov 25 (For further information on Team Rep Fee please click on the Rep Fees Information link under the Registration tab of the website).

**Players must reside in the Spruce Grove LMHA area to register with SGMHA for the current season.   Player boundaries are determined by Hockey Alberta.  Please click here to view both Spruce Grove Minor Hockey Player Boundaries and Hockey Alberta Model's.

**All players are required by Hockey Alberta to have 1 parent/guardian to have the Respect in Sports online (Parent) certificate for registration to be completed and current (recertification is required every 4 yrs).  Players will not be allowed on the ice until this course has been completed (this includes evaluations & tryouts).  Please click here for information regarding the Respect in Sports - Parents Program.

**No registrations will be completed over the phone or by mail.  Registrations can be done via online registration or in person by making an appointment with the office ( or 780-962-4655)

**Part of the registration requirement for the season is that each family (not player) will be required to complete two mandatory shifts during the current season (please refer to the Mandatory Shift Information tab on SGMHA's website for further information regarding the requirement).  By completing the online registration with SGMHA, you agree to provide  a deposit of either 2 non dated cheques of $200 each or the mandatory shift deposit cc authorization form as part of the mandatory shift requirement.  This year, by Jan 15, 2019 you will need to have either completed your shift requirement or be signed up to work as shift between Dec 23 - Mar 12.  Deposits will be processed after Jan 15, 2019 for members who have not completed their requirements or been confirmed for their requirement to be completed between Dec 12 - Mar 12 through the online volunteer sign up system.
